Privacy Policy

1. Responsable

  • Actividad: likes, matches, mensajes, calificaciones, reportes y bloqueos.

1. Data Controller

STIGMA is the application responsible for the processing of its users' personal data. Contact: stigma.datingapp@gmail.com.

2. Data Collected

  • Account: email address and password (the password is managed by the authentication provider).
  • Profile: name, date of birth, gender, biography, profession, city, location (if the user authorizes it) and up to 6 photographs.
  • Verification: verification result, internal beauty score and resulting tag. The selfie is not stored.
  • Activity: likes, matches, messages, ratings, reports and blocks.
  • Subscription: status of the plan purchased. PayPal processes the payment and STIGMA does not store card data.
  • Notifications: if the user enables them, the technical data needed to send them is stored, including the browser type and operating system of the device.
  • Session technical data: upon login, the authentication provider records the IP address and the browser or device type to manage the session and protect the account.

3. Biometric Data

Verification analyzes the user's face on their own device to compare the selfie with the profile photos and calculate the Beauty Tag. This analysis is carried out only if the user chooses to verify and gives consent. The selfie and the calculated facial data are used temporarily during the analysis and are discarded when it ends: they are not stored on STIGMA's servers or shown on the profile. Only the verification result, the score and the tag are kept, and they are deleted together with the profile.

4. Purpose of Processing

Data is used to create the account, show compatible profiles, manage matches and chats, calculate reputation, verify the profile, process subscriptions, send notices and notifications, improve the service and maintain security and compliance with the rules.

5. Information Visible to Other Users

Other users can see the name, age, gender, city, profession, biography, photographs, Beauty Tag and reputation. They cannot see the email address, the exact date of birth or the rating given by each person.

6. Disclosure of Data to Third Parties

STIGMA does not sell users' data. To operate, it relies on technology service providers that process data on behalf of the application, such as database and authentication, storage, hosting, content delivery network, payment processing and geolocation services. These providers may access technical data, such as the IP address, necessary to provide their service. Data may also be disclosed to the authorities when required by law. Some of these providers may process data outside the user's country, so by accepting this policy the user consents to such transfer.

7. Retention and Deletion

Data is kept while the account remains active. When the account is deleted, the data will be erased or anonymized, except for data that must be kept due to a legal obligation or for security reasons. Technical logs kept by service providers are retained for the periods each of them establishes.

8. User Rights

Under applicable law, the user may access their data, correct it, request its deletion, object to its use or withdraw their consent by writing to stigma.datingapp@gmail.com. If the user considers that their request was not handled, they may file a complaint with the Agency for Access to Public Information (AAIP), the supervisory authority under Law 25,326 on Personal Data Protection.

9. Security

Technical measures are applied to protect data against unauthorized access, alteration and disclosure, although no system is infallible.

10. Minors

STIGMA is intended exclusively for people over 18. If an account belonging to a minor is detected, it will be deleted.

11. Changes to this Policy

STIGMA may update this policy. If the change is significant, notice will be given within the application.
